Stereotypically gay?
Absolutely. But stereotypes are also meant to be broken. So if you're straight and love ABBA, shine on. They're a great group. I can't wait to hear more of their new stuff. If you picture ABBA, one of the first things that probably comes to mind is their outrageous disco-inspired outfits—covered in glitter, sparkle, and sequins.
These were all the work of am i gay if i like abba gay. Here we spend an hour in the company of the legendary music star to discuss bringing Mamma Mia: The Party to London's 02 Arena, his love of Cher, Freddie Mercury and George Michael, and how the gay community have always been some of the biggest supporters of ABBA. I say a definite NO to this question.
This is one of those groups that they say appeals to "gays" for some reason. However, as a straight guy, this was one of my very favorite groups. ABBA is just here to make music for the gays. The band which consists of Agnetha Faltskog, Bjorn Ulvaeus, Benny Andersson, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad are collectively gay icons and they know it. I know its cheesy, over-produced and often disgustingly commercial.
Well, despite the robotic synths Bronski Beat actually rocks. Bring those ABBAtars to life! Mamma mia. It's visible they probably did want to make a solid album, but it isn't convincing by a long shot. Abba were at their best when they were uptemp, full of life and energy and singing in that strikingly crisp way that is best heard on their fast and furious tracks. Don't say I didn't warn you!! Every Abba hit was catchy as hell; each had some kind of "hook" to it which made you want to listen again.
George where do you get your facts and figures from? And the ballads The ever so slight dusting of disco dust throughout the vibe of the album only helps matters. According to the liner notes, the lyrics in "King Kong Song" refer to a "big black wild gorilla," not "wide. As originally released, it shares that crown with its predecessor and with their swan-song album.
I only ever bought the 45s. There's a song written by Agnetha on here, "Dissillusion" is a dang good tune. Sign up for a new account in our community.
And their lyrics are often best ignored. And so is "Hole In Your Soul". I'd say that trying to pass ABBA off as pop is an insult to the many good pop groups out there, and I think people should think twice before even considering buying their records. As you already noticed, all my gripes with this record are mostly insignificant, and I have no problem with giving it a And to a certain extent, they are just that.
They rock! Cornball, phoney, contrived. This is just SICK. Followers 1. Could anyone tell me why did they felt the sudden urge to put 'Honey, Honey' on here? GeddyRulz Posted May 22, I am a 41 years old guy who has a main hobby: music.
